Welcome to podcast.ai, a podcast that is made up of just content made by AI. Every week, we go into detail on a different topic, and listeners can propose topics, guests, and even hosts for future episodes. This podcast is for you if you’re interested in machine learning, just want to hear your favorite topics discussed in a fresh way, or maybe just want to hear voices from the past brought back to life.
“Podcast” is a weekly podcast that goes into detail on a new topic and is made entirely by AI. The episodes are made with play.ht’s very realistic voices, and the transcripts are made with language models that have been fine-tuned. For example, the Steve Jobs episode used his biography and all of the recordings of him that we could locate online to train the AI so that it could bring him back to life authentically.
Here, you may offer episode ideas and vote on them. If they get enough votes, we’ll look into them in future episodes.
Why podcast.ai?
The 4-minute-per-mile limit. We wanted to push the limits of what is possible with speech synthesis at the moment. We also wanted to make content that could inspire others to do the same. Steve Jobs was the person who inspired and changed the world of technology the most, so in the first episode, we brought back his voice.
At Play.ht, we think that in the future, all material will be made by AI, but it will be led by people, and the most creative work will depend on how well humans can explain what they want the machine to make.
We are developing that future, starting with one of its most important parts, which is the capacity to make synthetic speech that sounds and feels like human speech and can copy any voice perfectly.
We hope that our effort will inspire other people to use generative AI to make even more imaginative audio and video material.
